This reminds me of a peach, thought the use of shapes was an interesting take on the peach

Adam Hayes work is stunning. I really like his mixture of illustration and type, and the style his work has
After having a search for examples of J&TGP books which have been done before, it’s clear that 99% of them all seem to focus on the obvious image of the peach and james.
I guwss this is fair enough as it’s the main part of the book, but I think after looking at it, it’s been done to death, my opinion is to do something much more abstract in relation to it, or maybe not even feature the peach or James at all

When I saw the three that won, I have to say I was completely shocked as I think, quite frankly, they are awful. I’m not a huge fan of any of them, especially compared to some peoples I have seen that didn’t win or even get short listed
I really like Andrew Henderson’s entry last year, so much so infact, I think it should of won, especially compared to who did win
Laura Hurst’s entry from last year is also something with a similar ‘feel’ to what I’m after, using photography to manipulate light and focus on the cover
